VS Code + Cline

Connect VS Code + Cline to Token Share

Install Cline in VS Code and connect it to Token Share as an OpenAI-compatible provider, with GPT, Grok or Claude models.

Install VS Code and Cline

  1. 1Sign in to Token Share and open the API Keys page.
  2. 2Click Create key, choose the Inference type, and copy the key that starts with sk-token-. It is shown in full only once.
  3. 3Top up with USDT on the Billing page. Claude models are paid from topped-up balance only.
  1. 1Download VS Code from code.visualstudio.com and install it.
  2. 2Open Extensions (⌘ + Shift + X on macOS, Ctrl + Shift + X on Windows and Linux), search for Cline, and install the one published by saoudrizwan.
  3. 3Click the Cline icon in the left Activity Bar. On first launch, choose Bring my own API key.

Connect to Token Share

  1. 1In the Cline sidebar, click the gear in the top-right corner to open the settings.
  2. 2Set API Provider to OpenAI Compatible. It may default to OpenRouter, so check it changed.
  3. 3Fill in the fields as in the table below. Leave Custom Headers empty, and do not enable the Azure options.
  4. 4Click Done (or Continue) to save.

API KeyYour Token Share key
Model IDAny id from the model list, such as gpt-5.6-sol or grok-4.7

Cline’s custom provider speaks the OpenAI format only. Claude models work, but may lose prompt caching that way and cost more. For heavy Claude use, run Claude Code in the VS Code terminal instead.

Start using it

Type a task in the Cline box and press Enter. Each request and its cost appears on the Billing page.
